Mia Mason

Hello, I’m Mia !

I’m currently a student graduating from Sheffield Hallam University.

I’ve worked on a diverse content creation skillset during my time at university, perfecting photography, social media management and brand promotion, 3d modelling, concept art, graphic design and my favourite – filmmaking and video editing.

Pursuing personal projects in filmmaking has allowed my creativity and storytelling skills to thrive over the past few years, and I’m eager to put these into practice professionally.

Visualising the fantasy novel “A court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J Maas

This project aims to provide an introduction to basic concept art skills through visualising the fantasy novel “ A court of Thorns and Roses”by Sarah J Maas. The main goal of this project is to research, understand, implement and develop the key skills needed to step into the world of concept art, using the book as a platform to do so.
Specific focus areas in this project were character design and landscape design and developing overall worldbuilding skills.

Kairo Green

I’m Alex and I have a passion for all things media. Whether it be animation and motion graphics, VFX, Games, Films, Photography or Live streaming; I’ve had experience in all.

I’m a very quick and capable learner, veracious, conscientious and always up for a challenge. With a diverse previous experience like mine, I’ve picked up skills, tricks of the trade and boons from a multitude of industries; ultimately culminating in unmatched finesse and efficiency while also maintaining creative solutions within tight constraints.

ECO DEI – Film on Gnostcism

The main, large project was a short experimental/documentary film on the topic of Gnosticism, as a journey of self-exploration with literal visual storytelling of a journey to find gnosis. The film depicts a journey into a cave to find gnosis, finding an ancient gnostic temple in a mystical location within the cave, meeting with  and journey out of the cave with it’s boons. Accompanied by a narrator who explains what gnosticism is and snippets of Gnostic texts from the Nag Hammadi library.

With a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of user psychology, and a commitment to creating meaningful experiences, I am actively seeking employment opportunities in the field of UX design, where I can leverage my talents to make a tangible impact and continue to grow and evolve as a designer

Guyshi App Concept

For this creative media project, a prototype app was designed for a high-end Japanese restaurant called Guyshi that is based in Sheffield. Currently Gushi is the only one in the country so is quite unique to the local area. This restaurant looks at giving the customer an experience in their Teppanyaki services or with their fine cuts of wagyu steak, which customers can cook themselves on tabletop grills. The restaurant already has a website, but reservation can only made by phone or email.

Shanel Sobredilla

Hi! I’m Shanel, a Digital Media Designer.

Growing up in a house of designers, I was fortunate enough to appreciate and see the work that goes into creating. I believe that a good design is successful when it translates to people through its simplicity. Design is created for people, therefore I put importance on the human aspect that goes into my works.

One thing I value the most about my work is the never-ending journey to learn and collaborate. The experience and knowledge I get to pick up from the people I work with is what continues to inspire me to create.

Guyshi: A Docuseries

Guyshi: A Docuseries was created for the Creative Media Project module to further build on our skills that we developed throughout the course.

This docuseries follows the story of 4 key people in Guyshi who has been part of the team since Day 1. The aims of this docuseries is to allow Guyshi to build an emotional connection with their customers by showing a more personal side of them. Get a glimpse of how everything works behind the scenes and be inspired by their values and passion in what they do.

And don’t forget! Give Guyshi a visit and treat yourself to a one of a kind dining experience.

Eloise Smith

Hi, I’m Eloise Smith,

Having developed a passion for digital media during my school years, I always thought that being creative meant being proficient at art, but soon discovered it was so much more. I found love and creativity in designing on my laptop and producing media products. It also involves taking a design brief, analysing the information, creating fresh ideas, collaborating in teams and producing the final piece of media that meets the brief.

Fruity Tipples Branding and Marketing

Undertaking my most significant project to date, I did a complete brand revitalisation for an online liqueur and cocktail company using their standout selling points. The process began with modernising their logo and establishing a distinct sub-brand for their cocktails in a box. Crafting a branding guide was essential, guiding the development of product mock-ups for labels, packaging, business cards, and homepage layouts. Additionally, I assisted with their social media presence, devising templates, a strategic plan, hashtag banks, and conducting audience research. Lastly, I conducted product photography, providing the final elements necessary to create a website mock-up.
