Heather Kingsman

So many souls and yet so little time, Death has a busy schedule reaping the souls of the dead. Whilst they’re away, they leave their Apprentice with the goal of returning a book to the top of the underworlds tallest shelfs. Clumsy, ditsy and all round bad at their job, we follow along as Deaths Apprentice climbs to the top of the shelfs- leaving chaos every step of the way

Heather is a third year animation student currently based in the UK . Her projects are all about fantasy creatures and light hearted stories centred around imperfect characters.

Her projects focus on fun and aim to make the audience smile as we watch flawed characters attempt every day tasks in not so everyday environments; with Deaths Apprentice being the main debut of these aims.

Deaths Apprentice is my degree short film and despite being for my university I’d call it more of a passion project! I hope to one day become a set, prop and puppet builder for fantastical worlds, and explore new ideas and concepts within the animation industry. I hope for this project to provide some joy to those who watch it- and in the long run have this impact through my work.
