The worries and fears that come with growing up queer along with the difficult journeys and loving support.
Fluorescent Adolescent explores the connection between identity and environment. I revisit my own adolescence and the defining of my identity through my younger transgender brother Zac. This work represents the turbulence of adolescence which is symbolised through the shifting visual language of harsh banality and overlooked beauty. It is an introspection of my youth, guiding Zac through this challenging phase of self-discovery.
