The documentary will showcase his ongoing journey in becoming a full-time content creator and covers key aspects of his career such as where it all started, why TikTok is special, his growth on TikTok and the process of it, Challenges such as Parents not seeing it as real work as well as the pressure of comparison. The documentary also features a behind the scenes look at the creative process of making a TikTok as well Fuad giving advice for anyone interested in becoming a content creator.
“Using a narrator” (Nichols, 2017) is how I wanted to structure my work to make it an expository documentary and I did this via a recorded interview. I did this as it’s an effective way to guide the storytelling process as well as allowing me to work with a clear structure and narrative. This also guides the editing process so whenever Fuad gives an interesting answer, I can then create a cohesive visual element that makes the video more engaging. But this short documentary is mainly a mix between both expository and observational mode as I do capture observantly what Fuad gets upto during his life as a content creator.
