Anthropocence, 2022

This project focuses on formal elements. The work entails capturing colour, form, pattern and rhythmic movement. The motion of ribbon like light traces evoke emotions of passion and the rich colours portray depth. Translucency and transparency symbolises looking inside. The light pollution that damages animals in the Anthropocene and the ruining of our planet. By studying global warming this work looks at the micro and individual detail through the macro lens. The neon lights exaggerate every detail. The candle flickering shows the fleeting moment and how it can falter. Personifying light as an emotion, it looks at the colour wheel to symbolise life.
